Don't Be In Charge...

Take care of those in your charge.

One of the philosophies of Servant Leadership is that when you take care of your people they will take care of the mission. When your employees feel happy, they will serve their customers with a smile (without being told to, they will do it because they are happy). When your employees feel valued, they will strive to deliver high value. When your employees feel safe, they will be open, honest, and willing to take risks. Don't be responsible for the customer, be responsible for the people who are responsible for the customer. There are other components needed to make this work. For example, you still need to set clear expectations and hold people accountable. What are your thoughts?
